Almost 2 years in the making. The new ED enables the hospital to expand its clinical services with a state-of-the-art treatment environment, the recruitment of more than 30 additional members of staff and to provide high-quality education and training space for future generations of medical students.

We were asked to provide a calming environment for a new ED waiting space, flooded with natural light soothing colours and textures, carefully planned furniture arrangements and informative wayfinding strategy. Alongside the waiting space we undertook the interior design of the new specialist bereavement suite complete with tranquil garden space, offering privacy and comfort for families and loved ones.

The next phase will see a specialist children’s department with a Paediatric Assessment Unit showcasing a bespoke child-friendly environment suitable for all children.
