Ranked one on the top 10 best secondary schools in Wales, Caerleon Comprehensive is located within south Wales just north of Newport accommodating around 1500 pupils.

We were appointed by HLM Architects to provide an interior design scheme for the existing main entrance refurbishment and new build, sports, music and drama block.   

A considerate approach to the site architecture and surrounding landscape was a key driver, along with the school’s ethos and values, creating an interior experience to meet the needs of both pupils and staff in a cohesive manner. The interior design scheme promotes the reputation of the Caerleon Comprehensive School brand and provides areas of informal, pupil friendly environments to enable pupils to feel a sense of ownership and to be at ease within their day to day surroundings. To achieve this, the interior design is centred around a base palette containing neutral tones, textures and materials. This palette will be enhanced in specific areas through the use of uplifting departmental colours, textures and graphics that vary in tone and intensity depending on the function and stimulus of the space.
