Coastal Living

After a weekend of bathing in the ocean and soaking up the warmth from the Cornish sun down here in Cornwall, we are feeling restored in the office and reflecting on what a coastal theme feels like for us.

Coastal themes have different meanings depending on personal experiences and connections. Our vision of coastal style includes incorporating natural materials, exploiting light and coastal inspired colour palettes to evoke a sense of serenity and tranquillity. To be in an interior where a coastal experience is curated is proven to benefit and support wellness by promoting relaxation which can then reduce stress and anxiety.

At Studio KHid we look to our natural surroundings, when it comes to coastal design we find inspiration in biomimicry elements such as natural materials, patterns and sympathetic colour palettes.

In an upcoming project we are considering using the coastal theme to emphasise a relaxed and serene oasis that enhances the user experience. Our aim is to provide a space that explores a sense of imagination and adventure.
